Kansai International Airport Discounts Landing Fees

Kansai International Airport has announced that it will continue to offer the discounts introduced previously with some changes to encourage more use.

(PRWEB) January 28, 2005 — Meanwhile, until Phase 2 of the airports construction project is complete, some slots will continue to be at a premium because of the growth in demand for international flights and the airport must encourage more use of the airport in off-peak hours to ease congestion during peak hours.

Consequently, it has partially revised the additional tonnage discount that has been in place for the past five years. The new system will remain in place for three years to the end of 2007 and will offer a 10% discount on additional tonnage provided by a carrier over and above that provided in the corresponding summer or winter schedule. A further 10% discount will apply for any additional tonnage in the off peak hours outside the period from 9:00am to 2:00pm.
