Airline Industry Information - United Airlines offers customers certificates for discounts on flights in 2010

United Airlines (NASDAQ:UAUA) announced on Thursday the launch of an offer that will allow customers to earn electronic certificates for discounts of up to 50% off domestic flights booked for 2010.

The electronic certificates will be redeemable for travel between 1 February and 31 May 2010.

The size of the discounts are based on the number of qualifying round-trip flights taken, with a 5% discount for one round-trip flight, a 10% discount for two flights, a 20% discount for three flights, a 30% discount for four flights, a 40% discount for five flights and a 50% discount for six or more qualifying round-trip flights.
